Description
Shallow river with a scrumptious plunge pool area. Pretty, little old bridge with a little Weir to admire as you swimble about and a rope swing for the teenagers, because of course, a 47 year old woman would never use one of those if no one was looking...
Getting There
Park in the village on the bridge, walk to the footpath and it's about 200m it right hand side
Accessibility
Very easy access. Bit stony, gently slopes to the deep swishy bit. The swishy bit is only for strong, experienced swimmers - no kids etc. in that bit. Most of it is 100% fine and safe, just the swishy bit on sat side to be treated with caution.

Easy to find and easy to get in, shallow but swimmable. Brilliant spot for a lovely swimble and swoosh in the current, will definitely be returning. You probably could skinny dip here if you wanted but I'd recommend someone on the shore to watch out for walkers as you are right next to a public footpath. Plenty of signs about algae but we visually assessed and decided to go ahead anyway, keeping our heads up!

Blue-green algae! Avoid! Had a lovely swim but projectile vomiting all of the next day. Gutted!

A but midgey at times, but don’t let that stop you!
