Very beautiful spot by the the bridge. It was very fast moving when I was there end of Jan 24. We had had a lot of rain recently though. I just got in an held on for a cooling dip, had I have let go I would have been off down the river.

Easy to find access, busy with sup and canoes but nice swim upstream and back.

Access under bridge. Sloping steps into river. Can be a little slippy. Swim left against current then swoosh back to bridge. Fairly busy spot.

Beautiful spot that gets a lot of use. Fishing, SUP, swimming and canoeing are regular activities here so be prepared to share the river. Please be mindful of residents when visiting and parking. Excellent stretch for a swim as it’s about 1km upstream to the lock with the chance of a swoosh back.

Lovely swim spot, with easy entry to the south side of the bridge. There is a current so swam upstream and back!
