Description

Waldringfield is a small village in rural Suffolk on the banks of the River Deben. It is home for the Waldringfield sailing club. It is a tidal river with a graduated beach entry. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle.

Getting There

Parking is available behind the Maybush pub. Free before 8am and after 6pm, otherwise parking fee is required.

Accessibility

Main access is down steps from the car park. However this can be avoided by walking around the Maybush pub.

Beautiful swim spot. Not too muddy as long as you have shoes on. Tide was slack and was about to swim in both directions.

Bit sandy and muddy at the edge, didn't go to far out as was swimming against the current, most enjoyable dip. Large carpark by pub. Will come again when visiting again 😃
