Description
Stunning sandy beach. The site of three shipwrecks from the Spanish Armada in the 16th century. There are strong tides and undercurrents, so it’s recommended that only experienced swimmers use it! Popular surfing spot. Lifeguard on duty at times during the summer months.

Streedagh is a beautiful clean 2.4 km long Sandy beach. It’s gently sloping so it’s usually easy to swim staying in your depth unless it’s a fairly wild day. There can be riptides though. Often good waves for bodysurfing! Lots of beginner surfers at times too. I love it! Streedagh Splashers group meet most Sunday mornings at 10am if you want some company… everyone welcome
