Description
Despite the no swimming signs, this is a popular swim spot . please only use the entry Piont to the south of the nesting wall .this is Bowers lake, the one nearest the visitors centre , you must not swim in any other of the lakes because of the nesting birds.

Absolutely brilliant. Water is clean and entry and exit easy. Little bit of mud and a couple of small rocks to avoid tripping on as you enter / exit but then it’s firm and flat. My first wild swim was here and I’ll keep going back. Parking is £4 (I think) unless you are an RSPB member, then it’s free. Don’t park in the laybyes just outside as cars there are getting ticketed a lot.
