Description
Small public grass & pebble beach away from the touristy areas. Not as charming as beaches further north but has a reasonably priced (for Como!) snack/drinks cafe with shade, the option of basic plastic sunbeds & umbrellas and a free area to sit. Plenty deep enough, v clean water. There is a suggested swimming area with buoys but nobody cares if you swim beyond that - it’s not lifeguarded. It’s a good swim up towards Menaggio (1.5km each way) - no boat traffic at all, unlike anywhere SW of here.
Getting There
It’s right by the road about a 15 min walk from the Cadennabia ferry port and bus stops.
Accessibility
Wear flip flops or water shoes to get to the edge; the rocks are sharp and there may be broken glass.
