Description
Tiny cove with sand & shingle beach, including the flat stones that give it its name. Little shelter with bench provides changing area. Small sea pool on the right. Take care as some submerged rocks especially further out that appear at low tide.
Getting There
Park on seafront in Bangor near the marina & Pickie Park (Queens Parade) and walk past the park and along the front to the left as you face the sea (all on the flat). Alternatively park on the road above & walk down a jitty to the front (steep) - Princetown Rd, jitty by number 98.
Accessibility
Flat walk from seafront car park along paved coast path, suitable for wheelchairs & buggies. Ramp from path onto beach short but fairly steep & could be slippy. Steep slope up to changing shelter. Gently shelving beach into water.
