Rust is a small town in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located near the French and Swiss borders, and it is best known for being the home of Europa-Park, one of Europe's largest and most popular theme parks. Freiburg, on the other hand, is a much larger city located about 40 km southeast of Rust. It is known for its picturesque old town with historic buildings and narrow streets. The city is surrounded by the Black Forest mountain range, which provides stunning scenery and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.
