Experience this spot in Pontevedra. Great location for swimming and paddling, kayaking, canoeing and supping. Pontevedra is a city located in the southwestern part of Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain. It is nestled in a valley along the Lérez River and surrounded by rolling green hills. The area is known for its beautiful beaches, including the nearby beaches of Sanxenxo and Cíes Islands, which are considered some of the most beautiful in the world. Pontevedra's city center is compact and filled with narrow, winding streets and beautiful squares, and it boasts a number of charming Gothic and Baroque buildings. The historic quarter of the city is especially beautiful, with narrow streets lined with medieval stone houses and palaces. The surrounding countryside is dotted with ancient manor houses and traditional villages, and offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, and exploring the region's rich cultural and natural heritage. Overall, Pontevedra and the surrounding area offer a perfect mix of beautiful scenery, history, culture, and outdoor activities.
