Description
A beautiful Reservoir up on the Moors. It is owned by Canal and River trust and used by a local sailing club, but is regularly swum in by locals with no issues unless all the boats are out (usually Wednesday and Sunday evenings)
Getting There
The road goes right past the reservoir and there is a bus stop and a small car park, plus loads of parking on the verge.
Accessibility
Beach entry, you have to step down a small wall to get to the beach. There is also a dock for the boats at the far end.

What a lovely spot for a swim. We managed just to pull in off the road and the it was just a short stroll to beach access on the far side. Obviously there is a sailing club operating from there but nothing out on the water when I was there. Scenery is stunning and the water was glorious.

I had a beautiful swim here today (10.8.22) with a group of other local wild swimmers. The water was warm (22°) and we were in over an hour, just doing gentle breast stroke and chatting. We met several other swimmers there - maybe 20 people in all, on a random Wednesday afternoon! There was plenty of space for everyone though :)
