Raughley is beautiful. The shore is stony and water gets deep quickly, which can be good but on days with bigger waves it can be difficult getting in and out safely from the stones. On those days it’s better to go in on the other side of the wall to the more shallow gentle waters on the Lissadell side of the same road. If you come to this area the Raughley loop walk starts very nearby and is worth a short wander.
