Description

A site of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Janet's Foss (said to be home to the fairy queen Janet) is a magical little waterfall pool. The pool is only around 6ft deep at its deepest spot and is quite shallow otherwise. Around a 3/4 mile flat, steady walk from Malham and the path is signposted well. This spot can get quite busy so it's unlikely you will have it to yourself.

It’s very beautiful but Malham gets so so busy on nice days during the spring and summer. Also on the occasion I visited there were so many bugs so not the pleasant.

… well it was nippy in October… lol! Beautiful spot though. Bit of a slippy scramble to get in. Water shoes needed. Fairly solid underfoot. Deep enough to have a little swim. More suited to dipping though. Had quite the audience! Loved it. Would visit again.

Lovely beautiful spot for a dip, not a swim. Gets VERY busy, so best to go early or late!
