Description
Lovely swim along the former canal for about a km (you can vary where you get in). Park at the Hub (pay parking, but free for the 1st 90 minutes, Sundays and Bank holidays)and walk along the foot path then swim back down river. Keep right at the Willows as the river splits here into the River Itchen and the Itchen Navigation. Get out just before the sluice gate.

Lovely peaceful route with many areas to get out at the bank if needed. Shallow in most places with a steady lazy river style flow.
