Hornsea South beach is also known as Mermaid Beach. It is the official place where Hornsea Mermaids swim and when conditions are right a great place to swim. It is watched over by Hornsea Inshore Rescue which the mermaids are affiliated to. Swim timesare put up on Hornsea Mermaids FB page. This is a women only group but we also at special events do mixed swims. Next one is 21st June summer solstice all nighter on the beach. Usually from 3am onwards and sunrise swim
