Stopped here on way home from work trip. Obviously a popular spot, bumped into some lovely friendly fellow swimmers. Parking in nearby roads and short walk to lake. Signs saying no swimming but these are ignored, plenty of swimmers on a week day morning. Water quality good and bird life not bothered by swimmers. Steps to access water by the edge of the jetty.

Nice piece of open water - not connected to sewage outflows I think. Good to have a big space to choose routes on. Not much space for changing (most people seem to use a nearby bench) & there's not much space to leave stuff on the bank safely - keys, phone etc need to be in the float perhaps. Lovely swimming and so convenient for this end of Oxford. There's a good place to lock bikes nearby. Perhaps best to swim with a buddy or someone on the bank in this rather secluded part of the park.
