Description

Heacham North Beach is part of an extensive beach line which stretches north from the mudflats at Snettisham, up the eastern side of the Wash and along the Norfolk coast. Heacham is a popular Norfolk coastal holiday resort, with a largely sandy beach. It is one of the few beaches in Norfolk to face west. The majority of beach exposed at low tide is very gently shelving. Tidal movement stirs up sand and sediment in the sea and makes it look cloudy.

I've had a couple of lovely swims in Heacham sea. Very cloudy due to fine sand so couldn't see my feet but luckily they knew what to do 🤣. Going home Monday so 🤞I can get one more swim

Easy to get to snd parking available. Swim shoes are a must as very stoney beach. A must is to check tide as I went unknowingly when tide was out. After walking 1/4 mile and still only up to my knees I decided just to lay down. After checking tides I'm now going tomorrow morning when tide in 😀
