Description
The Ladies' Pond is a former reservoir on the eastern side of Hampstead Heath. There is no beach but there are grassy sunbathing areas surrounding the pond. Access to the 6845 square metre swimming area is via a concrete diving platform.

My favourite spot in London. The vibe is incredible - you have to be there to experience it. Wise women of all ages, a friendly fox, kingfishers, ducklings around you while you swim… This place is a fairytale witch coven. Beautiful and secluded in the summer, serene and refreshing in the winter. Lovely staff and regulars. Perhaps not the best for serious training, but you can easily swim a few laps for 20-30 minutes and not get bored. Hot showers in the winter, cold in the summer (& bathrooms!)🌸

Great for dipping or casual/social swimming. Less so if you want to put your head down and swim crawl for a while - pond is too small and crowded for that.
