Description

Gaddings Dam is situated high on the moors above Todmorden and is home to Britain’s highest beach. Water depth is between 2 and 12 metres. Access is from the road near the pub and there is parking on the narrow roadside. Try to avoid parking in the pub car park and please park considerably. it’s a bit of a trek up a steep hill to get to the beach, but it is well worth it to see this large reservoir with excellent views. You may find yourself sharing this swim spot with the local cows.
