I think this is a wonderful swim spot, especially for winter. Will be back.

This is a lovely spot for dip. Good car parking and a bench for getting changed beside. The water is accessed by some shallow and wide steps, which were very easy and safe. The water is shallow as you get in, but get to a swimming debth fairly quickly. The surroundings here are wonderful.

The description is accurate - steps in and a firm footing that soon gets squishy. Not deep, and potentially you could do over a mile long swim, although there are a few reeds after 200m. Very popular with some early morning dippers and anglers. Small car park with a coffee van sometimes. Did I love it? No. Did I like it? Yes. Would recommend if you are in the area.
