Description

Small reservoir on Crompton Moor. You can wade in but it’s a bit of scramble as it’s quite steep. It’s also mostly slate so shoes of some description are definitely recommended.

Getting There

There is free parking on Compton Moor and then it’s about 10 min walk up to the reservoir. Boots are advisable in the winter as it can get muddy. Crompton Moor it’s self is about 10 min of J21 of the M62

10min slippery, hilly walk from lower small parking area. Well worth the short hike. Beautiful picturesque area surrounded by mature trees. Great wild swimming spot, popular with many people.
