A very deep pool, popular with many who seek to jump off its cliffs. However if you're not into jumping you can access the water further down from a grassy bank and swim up. Take goggles because its amazing to look at the abyss below! Also watch your head for jumpers!

One of my fave swims yet! Stunning location…the water was so crystal clear and easily a good 3m deep or more. Great for swimming up and down but be wary of people jumping in. Don’t be put off by the crowds on a warm day…it’s well worth it! We parked near Stonethwaite and then it’s a 45 min walk to get there
