Description
Entering the lough from the beach beside the play park the water is shallow and requires a long wade out before you are out of your depth. It is sandy underfoot. There is a small river beside the playpark that if there has been heavy rain it can create a current that can carry swimmers further from shore so it’s something to be aware of when swimming in the location, generally the flow from the river isn’t a factor when conditions are calm.
Getting There
Ample parking can be found in the Ballyronan Marina complex directly in front of the beach beside the play park.
Accessibility
The water can be entered directly from a beach in front of the carpark. There are toilets located in the marina complex.
