Description
A lovely Reservoir with parking less than 50m from the water. As usual with Yorkshire Water, swimming is officially banned but actually tolerated so long as you're polite to the wardens and don't do silly things like jump in off the dam.
Getting There
Put 'Ryburn Reservoir Parking' into Google maps and it will take you directly to the car park off Swift Place. It's just on the outskirts of Ripponden and easy to find, keep an eye out for the turning though.
Accessibility
There's a path most of the way to the water, then grassy/muddy banks as you get in.
