I set up Escape Swims after the Coronavirus pandemic to offer a service to help people access all of the benefits of being immersed in wild water. I worked in a secondary school looking after the safeguarding and welfare of over a thousand students which definitely took it's toll on me and I turned to the water to help me when burnout hit. I was so quickly uplifted that I realised I needed to change my career, share my love, knowledge and expertise of the water and help people whilst doing what I love. We’re all on our own water journey and whether you’re looking to find a way to get into the water and build your confidence, you’re looking to gain some resilience and mental health support from getting in the cold or you’re looking to train and develop your swimming for a personal challenge or event we can help. I've spent my life in and around the water. I'm a qualified Open Water Swimming Coach, a qualified beach life guard and a qualified PE teacher with over 20 years experience in coaching and wellbeing. In days gone by I was an elite level swimmer who has raced and beaten Olympic and Commonwealth medalists, so you're in safe hands!
